Our Board of Trustees and Executive Board is responsible for the fiduciary and operational oversight of The Egyptian Theatre operations, YouTheathre youth classes, and the BlackBox Theater including all associated programs. Each board member has a three year commitment to participate in all board meetings, be a member of the Pharaoh Club, provide financial contributions, attend productions, promote programs, and be an advocate for The Egyptian Theatre.

Egyptian YouTheatre Summer 2021 Camp Information & Policies

Egyptian YouTheatre Summer Camps are held at the new

Egyptian Studios - 330 Main St. (basement)

(accessible from same side of street as Egyptian Theatre via breezeway between Swede Alley & Main St.)

The safety and health of our students, families, and staff is our highest priority. Camps will be run following the latest suggested guidelines for our sector from the CDC & ACA (American Camp Association). As the situation continues to develop, we will need to stay flexible and appreciate your support and diligence in helping us limit the spread of illness.

Parent Responsibilities and Daily Checklist

By registering my child in an Egyptian YouTheatre Summer Camp, I acknowledge it is my responsibility to adhere to the following:

  1. Punctuality. I understand that arriving on time for drop-off & pick-up is imperative for the smooth running of camp. I will drop off and pick-up only at the designated area, and within the 10-minute drop-off & pick-up times. I understand YouTheatre staff is not responsible for my child if I drop off earlier than designated drop-off time and that Egyptian YouTheatre may charge $1/minute for every minute a YT staff member needs to wait with my child to be picked-up past the 10-minute designated pick-up time.
  2. Preparation. I will make sure that I send my child to each day of camp: in clothing in adherence to the Dress Code policy laid out later in this document, having eaten breakfast, and with all required materials, including but not limited to: clean, labeled, re-fillable WATER BOTTLE, SNACK & LUNCH (Act Up Adventure students need a snack only)
  3. Illness. I agree to monitor my child’s health for the days prior to camp start date and each morning of camp. I will not drop my child(ren) off to camp if they exhibit any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, fatigue, headache, muscle aches, nausea, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, vomiting. If it is found my child, or anyone in our household, has come in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, I will not send my child to camp unless they have been quarantined for 14 days prior to camp start date. If my child exhibits any of these symptoms during the camp day, I will pick my child up promptly when contacted by YouTheatre staff.

Drop-off & Pick-up

4-7 year olds: will occur at the blue stage door of the Egyptian Theatre in Swede Alley for our youngest campers.

Ages 8 & up: Drop-off & Pick-up for most other camps will occur on the roof level of the China Bridge parking structure accessible from roundabout at Deer Valley Drive & Marsac Ave., unless otherwise specified. Older students (8 & up) can also enter the Egyptian Theatre Studios on their own if they take the bus or walk.

Camp times have been designed to decrease the mixing of groups. Drop-off will be done at designated 10-minute drop-off times beginning fifteen minutes before camp start time. Drop-off & Pick-up times are indicated in your Welcome Email as well as via text the week before camp start date. Please refer to policies in the PUNCTUALITY section above. YT staff will only be at designated drop-off & pick-up locations until the camp start time. If you are late dropping off and YT staff is no longer present at drop-off area, please drop off in Swede Alley and your child will need to walk in on their own (ages 8 & up) or (ages 4-7) you must park in China Bridge and walk them into the studios yourself. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE PARKED IN SWEDE ALLEY. If you arrive late to pick-up location and your child is no longer there with a YT staff member, they have been taken back into the studios lobby to wait and you must come inside to get them or call our YT # to let us know you've arrived so they can walk out. 

If dropping off students of two different age groups/drop-off locations, please drop your older student off in Swede Alley with the younger student.

Students will wash hands upon entry to Egyptian Studios before entering their classroom. Students will not have to use door handles on the way into or out of camp as all doors will be propped open to allow easy access for all.


Dress Code

  • MASKS: Students will be required to wear their own clean face mask for drop-off, pick-up, when travelling from one area to another, and when social distancing is not possible. Once they are in their classroom they can remove their mask when social distancing (floors of each classroom are clearly marked for 4’). Students will remove masks for their recorded final showcase performance and will put them back on after they leave the stage. If your child is never allowed to remove their mask except for snack/lunch, please let us know so this info is included on our rosters AND make sure your child knows your family rule on this matter.
  • Students will receive one 2021 YouTheatre Summer Camp t-shirt on the first day of their first camp (if joining us for more than one week, they will not get a new shirt each week). They will be required to wear a YT Camp tee each day of camp and are very welcome to wear past years’ YT shirts (available in limited sizes for $5/each).
  • Students are expected to wear clothing they can easily move in and close-toed shoes. NO FLIP FLOPS!
  • Some camps will require students to wear/bring “theatre blacks” on the last day of camp. This simply means a solid black top, bottoms, and preferably shoes.


Social Distancing

Each classroom floor will be marked indicating 4-foot social distancing. Class group size will vary by age (4-7yo: 10 students/1-2 instructors / ages 8 & up= 12 students/1-2 instructors). Social distancing measures will be adhered to as much as is possible during class time, hand-washing/bathroom use, arrival and departure.



Each student must have their own re-useable water bottle, labeled with their name, sent with them each day.

While drinking fountains will be turned off, the touch-free, filtered water bottle fill-up stations will be on. There are no refrigerators or microwaves for student lunches.

Act Up Adventures camps will only have a snack break (no lunch break). Make sure they eat something before dropping them off and to send a snack clearly labeled with their name.

All other camps will eat their lunch outside, weather permitting. In addition to a reusable water bottle, the student will need a lunch and snack sent with them from home each day that is clearly labeled with their name.



All 2021 camps will end in a showcase performance at the end of the week. No parents or outside audience members will be permitted inside to watch the showcases, but all showcases will be recorded. Once they’ve been edited, links to the performance will be sent to the email used at registration. We highly recommend you watch the recorded showcase with your performer, and share with friends and family.

  • Our camps end in a performance and to accomplish what these incredible students do in just five days, it is important and the expectation that they attend for the full day every day. 


Behavior Policy

The Egyptian YouTheatre runs on a three-strike behavior policy for students. Strike 1 is a verbal warning. Strike 2 includes notifying the parent of the situation. Strike 3 will result in dismissal from the program.

Fundraising Plan:
Two joint non profits collaborating SOS (Save Our Stage Foundation) and PCP (Park City Performances). Real property and fixed assets shall be owned by SOS. All other improvements shall be owned by PCP.

All funds raised will first be used to acquire the space and secondly to make improvements.

Total Cost: $3.75 Million to purchase space and fully build out

Enrollment & Scholarships
Class sizes are limited and space is available on a first-come first-paid basis. Full payment is required to secure your space.

The Egyptian Theatre reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment is insufficient. Any tuition paid would be refunded in full in such an event.


Once maximum class size is reached, registration will be closed and a waitlist started. Cancellations made 14-days prior to class start date will receive a full refund to the original payment method. Cancellations made with less than 14-days’ notice for classes with waitlists will receive a check refund by mail minus a $50 admin fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made on or after the class start date.

Since 1995 the Egyptian Theatre has enriched children's lives through their YouTheatre programs. YouTheatre has taught over a thousand aspiring actors who have gone onto study acting in college or pursue careers in the theatrical arts. Some former YouTheatre students have performed on Broadway-- their dream come true!

The Egyptian Theatre YouTheatre program is based on the premise that participating in an arts program is an important aspect in the growth of every child. From the teamwork of being part of a cast, the discipline required putting on a production, and the confidence gained performing before a live audience, our young actors are instilled with an appreciation for the performing arts that will carry them into adulthood.
